The Washington State Legislative Session is underway, and once again, Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC) leadership teams are advocating for the policies, funding, and resources our patients and staff need to continue delivering high-quality, accessible care. Decisions made this session will shape health care delivery across the state.
As demand for services continues to grow, CHC remains focused on protecting critical health care programs and securing investments that allow our teams to meet patients where they are.
2026 Legislative Priorities
Protect the health care safety net and 340B Pharmacy Program for community health centers by:
- Retaining the current managed care pharmacy benefit, and
- Advancing legislation that prevents drug manufacturer restrictions
- Protecting the Medicaid adult dental benefit from cuts, ensuring patients can continue to access essential oral health care
Invest in capacity through capital funding
- Expand dental and school-based health services to improve access for children and families
CHC will continue to advocate throughout the session for sustainable funding and policies that support our patients, strengthen our workforce, and ensure community health centers remain a cornerstone of Washington’s health care safety net.
