Special Interests:

I have long been interested in youth sports and coaching. I have coached boys' and girls' soccer, baseball, and basketball and have been an assistant scoutmaster for Troop 24 in Lynnwood for many years. I am also interested in nature and the animals we share this world with.

I Believe:

I believe the best way to explain my approach to medicine is by using an "explanatory model." Talking to patients about what I'm looking for in their symptoms to determine a diagnosis or how I decided on a specific diagnosis educates them on the rationale for a treatment approach and plan. The better patients understand, the more they can self-monitor and notify us if the plan is not working. It is a collaborative explanatory approach.
