Dr. Chris Smith, EDM Dental Clinical Director, was awarded “Preceptor of the Year” by the University of Washington School of Dentistry. This award was voted on by the recently graduated class of dental students, from among over thirty preceptors at different health center sites. Dr. Smith has been working with UW dental students since 2016. Throughout the school year, Dr. Smith provides mentorship and clinical guidance to third and fourth year dental students that complete a 4-6 week clinical rotation at our Edmonds site.
With over thirteen years of experience, both in private practice and at Community Health Center, Dr. Smith is a wealth of knowledge for ambitious budding dentists.The dental students are exposed to not only a wide range of clinical procedures during their externship, but they also gain an appreciation for how rewarding it can be to work with our diverse patient population.
