National Health Center Week: Public Health in Housing Day

August 8, 2023

Today, we’re celebrating CHC’s contribution and collaboration toward Public Health in Housing. In 2021, more than 5.7 million Community Health Center patients were served at a location in or immediately accessible to a public housing site. CHC of Snohomish County partners with several housing organizations throughout the county to provide support for our patients.

Housing organizations we partner with:

Cocoon House
Offering short- and long-term housing, street outreach, and prevention services aimed at strengthening families.

Clare’s Place
Catholic Community Services provides long-term housing stability, stronger relationships, and the opportunity for residents to become more fully engaged with the community around them.

Everett Gospel Mission
The Women and Children’s Shelter provides shelter and other services to this vulnerable and growing population.

Housing Hope
Provides emergency shelter and affordable housing and social services for families in need throughout the County. Tomorrow’s Hope Day provide parents access to affordable childcare and child development services.

At each of these locations, CHC provides clinical outreach services for our patient population. Many of these individuals have difficulty with transportation to a CHC Clinic, so coming to them helps them get better access to healthcare. Learn more on our website.
